Light Table 101

Window play has always been fun! Light tables are a newer way to enjoy the benefit of light play, which can be highly thereputic to kids with sensory issues, or some disabilities. It's also a great way to explore colors,shapes,and more!
You can purchas
e one from Lakeshore, or make one from varying materiels. I will add photos of our make-shift table, and otur real one when its built. I'll also link webpages when i can !

Materials to make a make-shift light table:
Clear lided totes
christmas lights (white)
Garbage bag-black
Tape

Tape the garbage bag around the inside od the container. Put christmas lights in, add parchment paper ontop to even lights Out if wanted. cover. plug in. we used a surge protector with a switch tongive our son unlimited access.

Fun things to try: clear containers with water and food cokoring. mic colors!
