We wrer fortunate enough to go on a marriage retreat, where this subjectbwas touched on. Our Mission Plan isn't anything too crazy.
We serve god, others, and ourselves with respect and dignity. We are accountable for our actions, and we strive to be the best we can be at all times. We value volunteer work, and have high expectations for our kids.
That's it! If you do not have a Mission Plan for your family, i suggest developeing one. It's vital to be on the same page as your partner in all aspects of child rearing. It's Okay to have different opinions, but you must have the same goals!
ie- We want our kids to grow up to b e considerate of others feelings. My husbands views on this are more proactive, mine are reative. That's fine. He's (A) learning how to look out to be considerate, and react to situations at the same time. I don't always see things the way hubby does, but A does.
