Number line

A is still working on his number recognition, and before/after numbers. What better way to practice than with his own number line!!

Materials:
Playdough
Popsicle sticks
Pen

Write numbers up to ____ on the popsicle sticks, one number per stick. On the back, draw dots to represent the number.

Show your child how to roll a snake, and place 1,2,3 in order, saying each name. Leave the child to decide what come after, or before, next... Ask questions about the numbers... Try it using only the dots as a guide. Place the activity in a tray and put somewhere accessible! They will revisit this!!
