Invitations
Invitations are set ups for success. It's a way to present an idea, without forcing the mind of the child. It takes patience, and trust that your child will be able to assess the situation presented. Start small! If your child has never glued before, give them a cup of glue and a paint brush, with just a sheet of paper. Let them explore the texture, taste, feel, and how it "paints" and drys. Give them this invitation over and over, and soon they will ask for new items to add. This means they are ready for a new invitation :) add a bowl of cut paper to the mix, and when they bring glitter over, add that to the next invite. Once they stop painting glue, add the squeeze bottle glue. If they stop using paper, bring plastic, foam... Keep twisting to Thier likes!! And never expect that white paper, orange triangle and eyeballs to become a snowman.. It might be a white duck, or house with eyes!!! They are learning :) THAT'S the important thing!!
